Food and recipes during our Thanksgiving:
- Our Shady Brook Turkey (23.86 lbs) already in the freeze - it’s a pretty big bird from Wegman’s…. We got a deal since we spent a certain amount to get an awesome price on it.
- Potato stuffing or potato filling (?) - Pennsylvania Dutch recipe (Yukon gold & redskin potatoes so to eat skins also)
- Mashed potatoes (Bob Evans brand)
- Bread stuffing that goes into the Turkey (saga sausage secret)
- Green bean (can or fresh) casserole with onion crunch & cream of mushroom soup
- Squash (we bought 2 of them) (butternut), brown sugar with butter or margarine. Cut a crack then microwave for 12 to 15 mins at first. Baking at 350 F for 35 mins. After that’s done you need to let cool then carve it out. Then you scoop it out to bowl then add butter, nutmeg and brown sugar. Heated up in the oven before eating with dinner.
- Pumpkin pie (2) (fridge shell) - one being made now.
- Sweet potato pie (done - recipe)
- Apple pie (done - a recipe)
- Homemade cranberry sauce - tastes better anyway
- Corn soufflé (done -)
- brussel sprouts with bacon
- Dinner rolls (store bought that was toasted in the oven)
